Kathy Bull became President of the DWC Palm Bay after serving for two years as its Treasurer. She grew up in Scotia, New York with parents who were union supporting democrats. After she earned a B.A. in elementary and special education, she accepted a job teaching Native American and migrant children in Parker, Arizona. Her next teaching job was in Philippi, a coal mining town in central West Virginia. She finished her career teaching special education back in New York State. During the twenty years she worked in Pine Bush, she earned an MA in education psychology and was the Department Head for the Special Education Department at Pine Bush High School. Florida became her home in 2018 when she retired after a 37-year career teaching and advocating for students with special needs. She moved to Palm Bay with her husband, a retired corrections officer. Her family includes her daughter and her son and three grandchildren. She also has four bonus children and seven bonus grandchildren who fill up her life.
